How this service works
We are a referral service. We connect you with an independent local provider; we are not the provider.
Toowoomba Garage Doors is an independent referral service connecting local customers with trade and inspection providers. When you call or send a form, your enquiry goes to an independent garage door technician who services Toowoomba. That business quotes and carries out the work, is responsible for the work, holds its own licences and insurance, and is responsible for its advice. Please check their licence, insurance and terms before you engage them.
We may receive a fee from the provider for connecting enquiries. It does not change what you pay.
We are a referral service
We do not carry out or contract for garage door work; an independent local garage door technician does.
Toowoomba Garage Doors is a website that helps Toowoomba homeowners, landlords and property managers get in touch with an independent local garage door technician. We are not a garage door company. We do not employ technicians, sell doors, motors or parts, inspect doors, quote jobs or carry out work.
When you send the quote form, we pass your details to one independent technician who services your area, usually the same business day. They contact you directly, look at the door, quote and, if you go ahead, do the work under their own licences, insurance, terms and warranty. Your agreement is with them, not with us.
Why this site exists
A garage door that will not open, or will not close, is usually a problem you want solved today. This site puts plain-English information in one place: common faults, safety checks, published price ranges and questions to ask. That way you can describe the problem clearly and compare quotes with some idea of what is reasonable. It also covers safety, because springs, cables and heavy doors can hurt people when they are handled the wrong way.
Facts on this site link to their source, such as Toowoomba Regional Council, QBCC, the ACCC, the Queensland Electrical Safety Office and door makers' published guidance. Prices are published ranges with the source named, not quotes.
How we choose technicians
Before any business receives enquiries through this site, we will ask them to show us:
- A current public liability insurance certificate.
- A current QBCC licence if they take on building work valued over $3,300, which Queensland requires (QBCC). You can check any licence yourself on the free QBCC licence search at my.qbcc.qld.gov.au.
- That electrical work, such as a new power point for an opener, is done by a licensed electrician (Electrical Safety Office).
- That they give written, itemised quotes, and written contracts for jobs over $3,300.
- That they service the suburbs and towns listed on our areas page.
Once a business is receiving enquiries, we plan to re-check its licence and insurance regularly. These checks reduce risk but do not replace your own: please confirm the technician's licence, insurance and terms before work starts.
What we do not do
- We do not give insurance advice or tell you whether a claim will be approved.
- We do not guarantee any technician's work, price, timing or parts. The technician is responsible for their quote, workmanship and warranty.
- We do not publish reviews, ratings or claims about technicians that we cannot verify.
- We do not sell your details or pass them to more than one business for the same request.
If you have a problem with work done, raise it with the technician first. If it is not resolved, you can contact the Queensland Office of Fair Trading, or QBCC for building work.
Your privacy
We only collect what is needed to pass on your request: your name, phone, optional email, suburb and details about the door. Read the full privacy policy.
